Custody is a 2023 Indian Telugu-language action thriller film written and directed by Venkat Prabhu. The film stars Naga Chaitanya and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles. The film was released on 12 May 2023 and received mostly negative reviews from critics.
The film revolves around a constable named Shiva, who is tasked with escorting a witness from police custody to the court. However, he soon learns that the entire police department wants the witness dead. He must then use his skills and instincts to protect the witness and bring the corrupt officers to justice.
The film begins with a high-speed chase scene, as Constable Shiva (Naga Chaitanya) pursues a car that is carrying a witness. He manages to catch the car and arrest the witness. However, he soon learns that the witness is in grave danger.
The witness is a retired police officer who has evidence of corruption within the police department. The corrupt officers are determined to silence him before he can testify in court. They try to frame Shiva for the witness's murder, but he manages to escape.
Shiva is now on the run, with both the police and the corrupt officers after him. He must find a way to protect the witness and bring the corrupt officers to justice.

The film's soundtrack was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Ilaiyaraaja. The album was released on 27 April 2023.
Overall
Custody is a decent action thriller with a predictable plot. The film is worth watching for Naga Chaitanya's performance, but it is not a must-see.
